Research Associate
Political Violence FieldLab

Under the general direction of the Principle Investigator (PI), this individual will be responsible for the administration and monitoring of multiple on-going projects related to large-scale political violence between and within states since 1800 in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, and, to a lesser extent, Russia’s Northern Caucasus. Manages a large team of more than twenty student research assistants on campus and in the field and assists PI in budgeting and monitoring of grant. Works independently to identify new sources of data to collect, whether at Yale or in other data repositories at other universities, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), private firms, or militaries. Seeks out partners at these institutions to help acquire new data, either via data sharing or purchasing.
