A Special Event for New Haven Area Educators and Community

Join us for a special evening of food and discussion about the Afghan history, civilization and politics. Arguably one of the most misunderstood regions of the world, Afghanistan is a meeting places of languages, cultures and a remarkable history that is often obscured by news headlines and half-baked pundits. In this special session, veteran Afghan researcher and scholar Naysan Adlparvar will take us on a journey through Afghanistan’s history - ancient and contemporary - confronting stereotypes and helping make sense of one the most important regions in the world. We will also be joined by members of the local Afghan community to discuss Afghan life in New Haven who will discuss their stories over a Sanctuary Kitchen catered meal. Join us for what will be an incredible night of sharing knowledge and cultural exploration!
