In the middle of Colombian protests that began on April 28, 2021, concerning reports of disappearances, sexual violence, and killings against protesters by the military and police forces have been denounced by the U.N, Amnesty International, Human Rights, and local NGOs. In light of the alarming situation in Colombia, this event organized by Angela Zorro Medina, J.S.D Candidate at Yale Law School, opens a platform to echo the voices of the people on-the-ground.
This event will be in Spanish. There will be simultaneous translation available that is co-sponsored by the Yale MacMillan Center’s Council on Latin American & Iberian Studies and the Program on Peace and Development.
