Event description:

The role that physical activity has played in facilitating individual wellbeing has been underemphasized and underappreciated for a long time. However, the COVID-19 pandemic is bringing to the fore the importance of physical activity as a means of promoting physical, mental and emotional well-being amongst everyone, particularly because we live in an interdependent and interconnected society.
On Wed, July 15th, we will turn to the role that physical activity plays in a good society. A good society is where every citizen lives a healthier, more fulfilling life. What is the role that physical activity plays in public health? How can we ensure that all people have access to and can benefit from physical activity? How can physical activity empower people in the face of challenges? How can we create a society where physical activity is valued and embedded in the very fabric of our community?
