This international conference will bring together specialists on mass violence in Southeast Asia to share and discuss new research and findings on atrocities in the region from 1945 to the present, as well as explore some of the challenges in this field of study and directions for further research.

The conference has been organized by Ben Kiernan and Eve Zucker with support from the New York Southeast Asian Society; the Schell Center for International Human Rights, Yale Law School; the Council on Southeast Asia Studies at Yale; the Genocide Studies Program at Yale; and The Edward J. and Dorothy Clarke Kempf Memorial Fund
