LUMS (Lahore, Pakistan) Associate Professor Ali Raza’s book, “Revolutionary Pasts: Communist Internationalism in Colonial India,” published by Folio books in Pakistan, explores the ways in which everyday Indian revolutionaries from the colonial era were part of the global communist ethos. A book about dreams, utopias, and dreams of utopias, Revolutionary Pasts is an enthralling read as much as it is an excellent historical project. The panel is a book launch for LUMS Assistant Professor Ali Raza’s new book, “Revolutionary Pasts, Communist Internationalism in Colonial India,” being hosted in collaboration with Folio Books Lahore. The panel will be moderated by Zaib-un-Nisa Aziz, Yale Ph.D., History.
