Serena Bassi and Brian Baer on Translation and Sexuality

The forthcoming Routledge Handbook of Translation and Sexuality is the first volume to bring together contributions by leading scholars in the fields of Sexuality Studies and Translation Studies on the global circulation of the key tropes, narratives and concepts that have underwritten both ars erotica and scientia sexualis throughout the centuries. In this Yale Translation Initiative working group, the volume’s editors, Brian James Baer and Serena Bassi, will discuss the idea of translation as a particular epistemological approach to knowledge, power and the history of sexuality.
