Tassos C. Kyriakides (Yale School of Public Health) and J. Nicolas Hernandez-Aguilera (Yale School of the Environment) will share their perspectives on food, health, and sustainability, after which there will be time for discussion over lunch. Tassos C. Kyriakides is an infectious disease specialist who is passionate about social determinants of health and the socio-cultural dimension of the benefits of Greek/Mediterranean nutrition. He has recently been certified as an Olive Oil Sommelier by the International Culinary Center and the Olive Oil Education Lab in NY City. Nico Hernandez-Aguilera is an Associate Research Scientist and Lecturer at Yale School of the Environment. His research contributes to expanding analysis and tools for community sensing, climate services, and sustainable food systems with a particular emphasis on rural communities in the Global South.
