In an era when national symbols can spark deep discussions and complex emotions, Tameka Fryer Brown, author of the striking picture book That Flag, offers a sensitive and nuanced entry point for educators and children to explore questions of patriotism, identity, and the meaning of community.
At 5:15 pm, attendees will get a sneak peak of the story and illustrations in That Flag before the book talk begins.
