The Digital Economist Summit: Global Innovation for Accountable Systems
This June, The Digital Economist convenes its bi-annual summit as a working lab focused on advancing accountability across intelligent systems, markets, and institutions. Across two days, the program moves from organizational design to system-level foundations—examining how trust is operationalized through infrastructure, governance, and coordination at scale.
Building on accountability frameworks developed through prior convenings in Washington, D.C., the summit is structured as an implementation-focused forum examining how institutional principles can be translated into operational models, governance mechanisms, and measurable coordination strategies. Through interactive roundtables and applied discussions, participants will engage questions surrounding transparency standards, participatory governance, institutional trust, infrastructure coordination, and implementation design.
Across 10 roundtables over two days, the agenda addresses structural and operational challenges shaping contemporary systems, from advancing AI deployment beyond pilot-stage experimentation, to examining the hidden costs of cultural and institutional misalignment, to emerging questions around security, time, infrastructure, temporal governance, and the economics of care.
