After Empire: The National Question and the Making of International Order in Southeastern Europe
Georgios Giannakopoulos studied history and politics in Panteion university, Athens, Greece. He holds a PhD in Modern History from Queen Mary University of London. He is a Senior Lecturer [Associate Professor] in Modern History and Associate Dean at the School of Policy and Global Affairs, City St. George’s, University of London, UK. He is the author of The Interpreters: British Internationalism and Empire in Southeastern Europe 1870-1930 (Manchester University Press, 2025) and editor of The War for Anatolia and the Remaking of International Order (Bloomsbury, 2025). He also serves as an Associate Editor in the Journal of Modern Greek Studies and is in the executive committees of the Society of Modern Greek Studies (UK) and The Greek Politics Specialist Group (UK).
