Jeffrey Sacks is Professor of Arabic and Comparative Literature at the University of California, Riverside. He teaches, studies, and writes on poetics, critical theory, and Arabic Studies. Most recently, he edited a special issue of the journal Critical Times on the theme "Critique and Translation." His book, Poeticality: In Refusal of Settler Life, is out with Fordham University Press in February 2026.
