Exhibition: Maintenance Impermanence: Constructing Identity in the Philippines
Yale School of Architecture
180 York Street, New Haven CT, 06511
The exhibition will be on display from October 9 to November 15
This event is organized by the Yale School of Architecture and co-sponsored by the Council on Southeast Asia Studies.
The exhibition showcases the transformation of the archipelago's built environment throughout its history. We examine the concept of impermanence in domestic architecture and how it has been challenged over the centuries, leading to a gradual erosion of cultural identities and a disconnection from the natural environment.
