Historian, diplomat, and author Thant Myint-U will deliver the Fall 2026 Coca-Cola World Lecture. Myint-U is a senior fellow of the United Nations Foundation, a senior research fellow in the Department of Politics and International Studies at the University of Cambridge, and an Honorary Fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge. He is the author of five award-winning books on history and politics, including his most recent work, Peacemaker: U Thant and the Forgotten Quest for a Just World. Drawing on his extensive scholarship and international experience, Myint-U's lecture will offer insights into global leadership, diplomacy, and the historical forces shaping today's world.

The MacMillan Center will welcome Joel Mokyr '74 Ph.D, recipient of the 2025 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences, for the Fall 2026 George Herbert Walker Jr. Lecture. Mokyr is the Robert H. Strotz Professor of Arts and Sciences and Professor of Economics and History at Northwestern University, as well as Sackler Professor (by special appointment) at the Eitan Berglas School of Economics at Tel Aviv University.
A leading scholar of economic history, Mokyr's research focuses on technological innovation, population change, and the historical foundations of economic growth. He earned his undergraduate degree from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and his doctorate from Yale University. His lecture will explore the forces that drive innovation and economic transformation across societies.
Asma Khan Named Fall 2026 Yale Global Table Fellow

An award-winning restaurateur, best-selling author, and founder of London's acclaimed Darjeeling Express, Asma Khan has built an international reputation for using food as a platform for storytelling, empowerment, and cultural exchange.
Khan holds a PhD from King's College London, multiple honorary fellowships, and an honorary doctorate from SOAS University of London. She was named one of TIME magazine's 100 Most Influential People and became the first British chef featured on Netflix's Chef's Table. She was also the first chef included in British Vogue's list of the 25 most influential women in the United Kingdom.
Beyond her culinary achievements, Khan is a passionate advocate for the United Nations World Food Programme and has spoken at major international gatherings including the World Economic Forum in Davos, Hello Sunshine, and BoF VOICES. During her residency, Khan will engage with students and faculty through conversations that explore food, leadership, entrepreneurship, and social impact in a global context.
Charles Kupchan to Deliver Fall 2026 Henry L. Stimson Lecture on World Affairs

The Fall 2026 Henry L. Stimson Lecture on World Affairs will feature Charles A. Kupchan, Professor of International Affairs in Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and Department of Government and Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations.
Kupchan brings decades of experience at the intersection of scholarship and policymaking. From 2014 to 2017, he served as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for European Affairs on the National Security Council in the Obama administration. He previously served as Director for European Affairs on the National Security Council during the Clinton administration. His lecture will examine the evolving international landscape and the challenges facing global governance, transatlantic relations, and U.S. foreign policy.
