Stories Honored. Knowledge Shared.
Learning Transformed.
Our 2026 cohort brings together K–12 educators from seven states and a wide range of disciplines, including social studies, English language arts, science, engineering, ESL, and elementary education. Organized into thematic groups, participants will explore how Indigenous knowledge, histories, and lifeways can shape teaching and learning across the curriculum through workshops, community partnerships, and land-based learning experiences across the Dawnlands.
From visits with Tribal Nations to collaborative curriculum design, educators will examine how Indigenous pedagogies connect knowledge, land, and community. Together, this year’s cohort will develop interdisciplinary approaches that honor Indigenous perspectives and bring new ways of teaching history, environment, and culture back to their classrooms.
