His research during the last years addresses the adaptation of farmers who’s waterfed agriculture to extreme climate events like droughts on Guatemala’s Dry Corridor, applying mainly ethnographic and qualitative methods. This ethnographic approach allows participatory projects, like the Community Based Participatory Project developed together with communities from Jalpatagua, Jutiapa and the Saint John Baptist Hospital. He is associate researcher at Archaeological and Anthropological Research Center at del Valle University in Guatemala, professor at the Anthropology Department at the same university, and research associate at Research Institute on History, Archaeology and Anthropology at San Carlos University, Guatemala.
