Felix Bongomin
Dr. Felix Bongomin is an Infectious Diseases Physician and Lecturer in Medical Microbiology and Internal Medicine at Gulu University School of Medicine, Uganda. He has extensive research experience in resource-limited settings and has authored more than 300 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, cited over 9,500 times. He previously served on the Gulu University Research Ethics Committee and has collaborated with Dr. Daniel S. Ebbs through the Northern Uganda Medical Mission on multiple projects, including the engagement and training of community health workers and the development of pre-hospital predictive models for sick children in Northern Uganda. Dr. Bongomin’s academic and professional interests center on community-based research, ethical conduct of research in vulnerable populations, and the clinical–academic mentorship of early-career investigators. In his role as the site director, he oversees the protocol development, advisory board establishment, conduct and implementation of the community ethics training project in the two districts of Pader and Gulu, Northern Uganda.
