Daniela Fonseca

Daniela Fonseca is a Venezuelan-born researcher and student of political science at Yale University whose work focuses on migration, democratic institutions, access to education, and human rights across Latin America and the United States. Her academic interests explore how governance structures, immigration policy, civic education, and political representation shape democratic stability, justice, and equity. Drawing from both scholarly research and lived experience, she examines issues such as climate migration, naturalization policy, and the political participation of immigrant communities. Beyond the classroom, Daniela is involved in nonprofit mentorship and educational initiatives supporting immigrant and first-generation students. She is particularly interested in the legal and policy frameworks that influence migration, democratic accountability, constitutional governance, and opportunity throughout the Americas as pathways toward freedom, collaboration, and inclusion.
