Ignacio Montoro Piñeiro
Ignacio "Nacho" Montoro Piñeiro is an undergraduate at Yale University studying Statistics and Data Science, with a research and personal interest in Iberian and Latin American Studies, particularly Spanish and Latin American literature. Originally from Murcia, Spain, with family roots in Santander and Galicia, he brings a longstanding engagement with the literary traditions of the Spanish-speaking world to his academic work. He serves as Vice President of the Yale Spain Association, where he helps organize programming connecting the Yale community with Spanish culture, history, and current affairs. He is also the founder of a podcast exploring topics at the intersection of language, culture, and society, and coordinates the Aditus mentorship program through Fundación Max Mazin, supporting students across the Spanish-speaking world in pursuing higher education abroad. Fluent in Spanish, English, French, and Italian, he is drawn to the literary connections and divergences between Spain and Latin America, from the Iberian Peninsula's own traditions to the region's contemporary literary voices.
