Maggie Habib

Maggie Habib is a PhD candidate in Political Science with subfields in International Relations and Quantitative Methods. Her research focuses on emerging technologies, military acquisitions, and arms control. Prior to starting her PhD, she worked at RAND and received her BA in Public Policy with honors from the University of Chicago. 

The Nuclear Security Program Fellowship will facilitate crucial data collection and archival research at the Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, and Reagan Presidential Libraries across the U.S. for her dissertation project. This research focuses on the connection between U.S. weapons development strategy, emerging technologies, and arms control strategy during the late Cold War.
