IN THE U.S.
• SOUTHEAST ASIAN STUDIES SUMMER LANGUAGE INSTITUTE (SEASSI), an eight-week intensive language program for undergraduates, graduate students and professionals currenlty held at the University of Wisconsin-Madison each summer. Instruction is generally offered for academic credit in at least nine Southeast Asian languages at the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year levels. (BURMESE, FILIPINO, HMONG, INDONESIAN, JAVANESE, KHMER, LAO, VIETNAMESE)

INDONESIAN
- ACICIS (Australian Consortium for 'In-Country' Indonesian Studies)
Hosted at Gajah Mada University, Jogyakarta and six other universities in Java (*Academic year) - BIPAS Study Abroad in Bali - Summer program hosted at Udayana University, Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia
- COTI - Summer Advanced Indonesian Abroad Program - Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW) in Salatiga, Central Java, Indonesia (administered by UCLA). Intensive summer program in advanced Indonesian.
- Critical Language Scholarships for Intensive Summer Institutes, U.S. Department of State, hosted at State University of Malang, East Java
- The Salatiga Program: PIBBI (Intensive Courses in Indonesian Language and Culture). Hosted at Satya Wacana Christian University, Salatiga, Central Java
- SIT Study Abroad Program: Indonesia: Arts, Religion, and Social Change, Bali, Indonesia (*Academic year)
- USINDO (United States-Indonesia Society) - Summer Studies Program, Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia
KHMER
- ASK (Advanced Study of Khmer) - summer program at the Royal University of Phnom Penh, Cambodia; administered by the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

THAI
- CAST (Consortium for Advanced Study of Thai - AST Program), Chiang Mai University, Thailand
VIETNAMESE
- CET (Vietnam Immersion - Summer Term in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam); through CET Academic Programs*, Washington DC.(Yale College-CIPE Approved)
- CIEE Ho Chi Minh City (*Academic year - Vietnam National University and Phnom Penh University). Includes language study (Vietnamese and Khmer), economics, political science and history of Vietnam and Cambodia. (Yale College-CIPE Approved)
- VASI / GUAVA (Group of Universities for the Advancement of Vietnamese Abroad - VASI Program in Ho Chi Minh City. Intensive summer course in advanced Vietnamese language study
Funding for summer language study, both in the U.S. or abroad, may be sought through the Yale SEAS Council's Grants to Students Program.
