Event description:

The Urban Learning Community at YSE is sponsoring a film screening and Director Q&A session for Good Guy, Bad Guy, a 2018 documentary by Indu Krishnan about a homeless man in Bangalore, who dreams of making his own film but is eventually caught up in a murder investigation, and the filmmaker herself, who explores her privilege and the relationship between those in traditionally “giver” and “giving” positions. We haven’t screened it ourselves, but it comes recommended by Asha Ghosh (the Urban Initiative staff advisor) who has met Indu before. Below are a couple of reviews (the trailer for the film is in the first link) if you’d like to get a more well-thought-out report of the movie:
•Shorter review & film trailer: https://supamodu.com/2019/film/indu-krishnan-good-guy-bad-guy-2018/

The movie director, Indu Krishnan will talk to Yale students on Jan 27th from 12-1 pm EST about her movie, and registered participants will get a link to screen the movie for free ahead of time anytime between now and the Q&A. Below are some links for registration.
