Event description:

The disruption caused by COVID-19 has the potential to deglobalize the world at a faster pace than before. This pandemic has led governments to rightly allocate almost all available resources to support and give a boost to their health systems. While we are optimistic that the challenges presented by this pandemic will be addressed in the near future, we are facing the real possibility of a looming financial and economic crisis of a great proportion. The resulting financial distress in some countries, including India, will have to be dealt with within very restricted fiscal space, limited foreign aid, and a weak global economy. We face two formidable challenges of stopping COVID-19 and saving the economy. Our expert panelists will engage with the question - Can India Do Both?
