Felipe obtained his law degree (cum laude) from the Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, where he also earned a master’s degree in philosophy. While pursuing his graduate studies in Colombia, he worked as a law clerk at the Consejo de Estado, handling public and constitutional law cases. He taught public law and constitutional actions at Los Andes before moving to the United States, where he recently obtained his Master of Laws (LLM) from Yale Law School. His academic interests include legal theory, public law, and state-building in Latin America. He is currently serving as a research associate at the Colegio de México in Mexico City, supported by the Fox International Fellowship of the MacMillan Center at Yale University.
