Gina Amico

Gina Amico is a Fellowship Coordinator at The Whitney and Betty MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies. In her role, Gina is responsible for coordinating the MacMillan Fellowships and exchanges, including the Fox International Fellowship and the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) program. Additionally, Gina serves as an elected co-chair of the Future Leaders of Yale staff affinity group on campus. 

Prior to her current role, Gina taught English Language Arts and History in Connecticut. She has also served three terms with AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteer in Service to America) at education nonprofits in New York and Connecticut. In addition, she served as a Primary Literacy Specialist with the Peace Corps in Guyana, South America. Gina holds a Master of Science in International Development and Service, and a Master of Business Administration. She is currently pursuing an EdD in Learning and Organizational Change. 

Similar to the Fox Fellowship, Gina conducted her graduate research at educational institutions in New York City, Siena, Italy, and Guayaquil, Ecuador—focusing on sustainable program development, volunteer management, and cultivating school-community partnerships.
