Jing Zhang

Jing Zhang is a PhD candidate in Education at the University of Cambridge. Her research investigates class, mobility, and study-to-work transition of Chinese first-generation postgraduates from HASS (humanities, arts, and social science) disciplines in a transnational context. She holds an M.Ed. in Higher Education and a B.A. in Anthropology. Her master’s thesis adopted an autoethnographic approach to analyse the educational trajectory of a Chinese “small-town swot”. Her undergraduate thesis investigated the educational change of a rural She ethnic minority village named Guanshe in Zhangzhou, Fujian province.
