Julius Hattingh
Fox International Fellow
Julius is a J.S.D. candidate at Yale Law School. He received his B.A./LL.B.(Hons) from the University of Auckland in 2019, and an LL.M. from Yale in 2025. Julius was a Summer Research Fellow at The Institute for Law & AI in 2025. Before coming to Yale, Julius practiced IP and technology law in New Zealand and tutored jurisprudence at Auckland Law School.
Julius' research concerns the intersection of law, philosophy, technology, and human behavior. His dissertation focuses on questions about authority, methods of law enforcement, and the relationship between illegality and impossibility.
