Tommy is Yale’s 2026-2027 Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant from Indonesia. At Yale, he teaches Indonesian while continuing to develop his teaching skills, improve his English proficiency, and deepen his understanding of the United States.

Outside the classroom, he is often found with a camera in hand. For him, photography is a way to slow down, notice the little things, and see the world from different perspectives. He brings that curiosity into his classroom, using stories and images to make language and culture more vivid for his students.

His greatest hope during his time at Yale is to make the most of his Fulbright experience, both personally and professionally. He aims to leave Yale with a heart full of gratitude and new stories to bring back to Indonesia.
