Andrea Sandbrink

Andrea Sandbrink is a PhD candidate at the Department of Law of the Free University of Berlin. Her research focuses on corporate climate crimes and the legal mechanisms of attributing climate change damages to transnational organizations. She serves as a research associate at the university, where she co-leads the Criminal Defense Law Clinic. Her research interests include international criminal law, business and human rights, and climate justice. Her recent work includes co-authoring a legal guide on courtwatching in Germany with the NGO Justice Collective and organizing and moderating two panel discussions on climate justice at John Jay College's Center for International Human Rights. Prior to her PhD, she completed her law studies at Free University of Berlin and Diego Portales University in Santiago, Chile.
