Zişan Özdemir

Zisan Ozdemir

Zişan is an MSc student in the Socio-Ecological Sustainability Program at Boğaziçi University's Environmental Sciences Institute and a University Innovation Fellow & UIGuide at Stanford d.school. She holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Boğaziçi University and has a diverse background in sustainability and impact across business and academia. Driven by a deep-seated passion for leveraging innovation and entrepreneurship to tackle the climate crisis, she has gained experience in various sectors, including think tanks, consulting, retail, startups, and venture capital, as well as communities to empower youth and climatetech entrepreneurs. Her research focuses on the challenges and considerations hindering the deployment of Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) technologies in developing countries, aiming for a just and equitable transition, and using Türkiye as a representative case.
