Wilkes County

To the Sherriff or Keeper of the goal of the County Wilkes:

I send you herewith the Body of Negroe Jude (illegible word), the property of John Mills, who on Inquisition, held at the House and Plantation of John Mills on the first day of January in the present year of our lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven was adjudged to have willfully murdered John Mills’ infant and son of John Mills wherewith the said Jude stands charged then you would (illegible word) to keep in your said Gaol until she shall be thence discharged by due course of law.  Given under my hand and seal this 2d day of January 1787.
