GLC Education Symposium

Humanities Quadrangle
320 York Street, New Haven CT, 06511

Saturday, June 5th, 2027

Are you bringing innovative approaches to teaching the history of enslavement and its legacies into your classroom? Join us at Yale University for the first annual GLC Education Symposium, a collaborative gathering designed to spotlight dynamic classroom practices, foster peer exchange, and celebrate educator impact.

We invite K-12 educators to apply to present their work. Whether you are sharing curriculum developed during the 2026 Yale and Slavery Teachers Institute, showcasing student projects sparked by GLC programs, or introducing fresh pedagogical strategies for teaching difficult histories, we want to feature your voice.

  • Who should apply: All K-12 teachers are welcome—no prior presentation experience is required.
  • Preference will be given to presentations highlighting classroom initiatives connected to GLC programming.

Step onto the Yale campus to share your expertise, inspire fellow teachers, and help shape the future of history education.
