Gregor Novak
Gregor Novak is a lawyer, legal scholar, and EU official, currently serving as a Member of the Legal Service of the European Commission. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Brussels School of Governance and a Member of the Advisory Board of the Max Planck Encyclopedia of Comparative Constitutional Law. Gregor’s first book, "Global Lawmaking and Social Change: The Varieties of Customary International Law" was published by Hart Publishing in late 2024. During this Fox Fellowship, Gregor was a visiting Fellow at the Outer Space Institute of the University of British Columbia (UBC) and a resident member of Green College and was affiliated with UBC’s Department of Political Science and the Liu Institute for Global Issues. Gregor holds a doctorate from Yale University, the Diploma of the Hague Academy of International Law, and further degrees from the Yale Law School and the University of Vienna. He is an alumnus of the Fox International Fellowship, the Fulbright Program, and Green College.
