Tarana Jafarova
Program Coordinator for Global Programs
Tarana Jafarova previously coordinated the World Culture and Language After School Studies program at the MacMillan Center, and taught Russian and Urdu in the program. She has also taught all levels of Urdu at the Center for Language Study at Yale. Prior to joining Yale University, she served as a lecturer and a researcher at Baku State University in Baku, Azerbaijan. Tarana has an MS degree in political science from Southern Connecticut State University, as well as MA and BA degrees in linguistics from the National University of Uzbekistan. She is fluent in Russian, Azerbaijani, Hindi, Urdu, and Turkish.
