Blessings Masuku
Blessings Masuku, (Ph.D) is a Postdoctoral Research Associate and Teaching Fellow at Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies (PIIRS), and School of Architecture (SoA) at Princeton University, New Jersey, USA.His research interests are on Southern Urban Studies: Urban Food & Nutrition Security (UFNS), Southern Infrastructural Geographies, and Everyday Urbanism in contemporary African city. Blessings completed his PhD in Environmental and Geographical Studies in 2024 at the University of Cape Town. Blessings is currently working on a book proposal on Urban Food Systems in contemporary African cities. His approach is that for us to understand urban food insecurity at community and household level we need to understand how various forms of infrastructure access and its provisioning impact on how the marginalised and urban poor residents living off-grid meet their daily food and nutrition needs to sustain life and livelihood
