Ivana Uzoh
MA Student
Ivana Uzoh graduated with high distinction from the University of Toronto. She completed an Honours BA in Political Science, History, and African Studies. The summer before joining our Yale community, she was a research fellow at the Jackman Humanities Institute, helping collate and analyze materials on domesticated water in Nigerian literature. Much of Ivana’s interests have been shaped by the work she studies, and she is eager to make her own contributions to the canon. At Yale, Ivana plans to research the literary works of emerging Igbo writers and their predecessors, prioritizing Igbo women’s literature and engaging with questions about identity, representation, and the role of the novel in exacting social change.
