Letter from the Director
Dear Fellows, Alumni, and Friends of the Fox International Fellowship,
I am delighted to present to you the January 2016 Fox International Fellowship newsletter. Many productive efforts have taken place since our May update.
Most notably, I am happy to report that we will be welcoming into our family leading universities from four countries: the National University of Singapore, the University of British Columbia, the Australian National University, the University of Melbourne partnership, the University of Copenhagen and the Copenhagen Business School.
We look forward to welcoming their students to the Yale campus, and sending our students to their universities, in the fall of 2016. For prospective students, the deadline to apply is fast approaching!
We have a great group of 2015-2016 fellows, whose research projects are focused on matters of critical importance to society and policy makers. These efforts include improving water management in some of Brazil’s most impoverished communities, fostering local resource management in Ghana, identifying accountability mechanisms for international investment – to name just three of twenty-eight fascinating projects. I encourage you to take a look at the website for details on each of our fellows and their research.
Finally, please watch for the launch of our policy brief program later this year. The Fox International Fellows will provide an accessible account of the relevance of their research for understanding problems and generating mutual understanding among countries, societies, and policy makers.
I would also like to thank the Fox International Fellowship’s donors, especially the Fox family, whose generosity makes the Fellowship possible.
