Many congratulations on your retirement, Shivi! I wish I were able to be there in person to savour this special event and mark with you and the community you have built your outsized contributions to it. I feel especially grateful to you for your sustained wisdom, guidance, support, insight, and care. I met you while I was still a graduate student, and the lessons you shared and practice you modelled have for me been entirely formative. From you I learned so much about how to be a scholar, a colleague, a collective thinker and collaborative program builder, and a mentor to others. It was always a pleasure to work alongside and with you during my years at Yale. I can only imagine that this celebration will drive home how much you have given to so many—making visible the nurturing networks you have done so much to build and sustain, which span the globe and will continue for years to come. What a legacy! Enjoy this important moment and everything still to come!
