Call for Papers
This two-day workshop will bring together the work of advanced graduate students and recent PhDs working on topics of current interest in modern South Asian Studies. We invite papers from all disciplines in the Humanities and Social Sciences. Those that emphasize inter-disciplinary exchange and interaction of ideas across themes and methods are especially welcome. Past papers have tackled issues ranging from films and ethnomusicology to state formation and elections, presenting new theoretical and methodological alternatives in the study of South Asia. Complete papers will be placed on a secure website to facilitate discussion amongst the entire group. Accommodation and meals will be provided to all selected candidates, and travel costs of up to $500 will be reimbursed upon submission of original receipts.
A complete submission will include paper title, an abstract of no more than 250 words, complete contact information, academic affiliation, discipline, year in graduate program and a brief one page CV.
