Cong Peng
Cong Peng holds a dual BA in Economics and in Law from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, and Wuhan University in China. Currently, his research focuses on urban economics and location strategy. His work connects economics and geographic information system to examine the agglomeration effect of service firms, and aims to provide intellective support for land planning of megacities. Cong was a Research Assistant at McKinsey and Company Shanghai Office for the past two years, where he worked on urban economics, spatial business analyses, global economic intelligence, and marketing analyses. Whilst at McKinsey, he collaborated on a study of underground system planning in Chengdu and published an article, The Future of Business Geography Industry in China, in McKinsey Quarterly. During his time at Fudan University, he worked as research fellow on the Changing Family Patterns in China project, which was sponsored by the State Council of the PRC. He was also involved in another four policy consultation programs for Shanghai Government, aimed at designing development strategies and public policies that would accelerate Shanghai s journey toward becoming a world-class economic and finance center.
