Eka Khorbaladze

Eka Khorbaladze is a policy analyst and expert in transregional integration and regionalism. Currently, she serves as a Research Coordinator at the Centre on Contemporary China and the World at the University of Hong Kong while pursuing her PhD in Political Science at Lomonosov Moscow State University  in the Department of International Relations and Integration Processes. Her research focuses on international cooperation, transregional integration, and the dynamics of US-China-Russia relations.
 
Eka’s PhD thesis examines Great Power Competition in the Indo-Pacific, and during her time as a Fox International Fellow, she studied US policy in that region. She has presented her findings at multiple political science conferences across the US, including seminars at Yale, and has published several analytical notes and articles. To date, she has authored over seven articles, contributed to two monographs, and presented at more than 40 international conferences, collaborating with think tanks in China and Russia on research related to globalization processes in the world political system, multilateral cooperation in the framework of international and regional organizations, and modern international relations in general. 
 
Eka is a member of four US-based political science associations, a board member of two journals, and the founder of the initiative “Expert Views on Global Politics.” She is also a recipient of the prestigious Schwarzman Scholarship, which enabled her to pursue a second master’s degree in Global Affairs and Leadership at Tsinghua University. 
 
In addition to her academic pursuits, Eka is actively involved in youth policy as a country coordinator for several international youth organizations. With a diverse background in research, multilateral cooperation, the NGO sector, and project management, Eka is dedicated to addressing global challenges and fostering international collaboration.
