Helen Eenmaa
Helen Eenmaa (LL.M., J.S.D., Yale Law School) is the President of the European Young Academies Science Advice Structure (YASAS), an independent formal network of nearly all Young Academies in Europe (Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovenia, United Kingdom, the Young Academy of Europe, and the Global Young Academy). She serves as a board member of SAPEA, a consortium of European Academies of Sciences networks providing independent research-based advice to the European Commissioners. Helen Eenmaa is an Associate Professor of Governance and Legal Policy at the University of Tartu, Estonia, and a member of AcademiaNet led by the Swiss National Science Foundation. She specialises in legal and moral philosophy, private law theory, law and economics, and technology law. She has published in general law journals (European Journal of Risk Regulation, World Comparative Law), specialised technology law journals (Computer Law and Security Review, Stanford Journal for Blockchain Law and Policy), general science journals (Scientific Data, Akadeemia), and journals of legal philosophy (Canadian Journal of Law and Jurisprudence). She has worked as a lawyer at the European Parliament and the UN Security Council and also published in international law.
