Johanna Melissa Lukate

Johanna is currently pursuing a PhD in Psychology at the University of Cambridge. Her research interests revolve around the individual in society, and the interplay of political, cultural, social, and economic forces in shaping the social order. She has a strong interest in research methodology and the potential of big data. Besides gaining several online certificates in data science from John Hopkins University (USA), Johanna co-founded and chaired the Qualitative Methods Reading Group at Cambridge since 2014. She also worked as a User Experience researcher at Facebook, Inc. (USA), and is an undergraduate supervisor with the Department of Psychology and the Department of Sociology at Cambridge. Johanna holds a First Class B.A. (Hons) in Politics, Psychology and Sociology (2014) from the University of Cambridge, UK, and a B.A. in Cultural Sciences (2011) from Fernuniversität Hagen, Germany. During that time, she worked as a research intern at the Central Mental Health Institute in Mannheim (Germany), and the Max-Planck Institute for Research on Collective Goods in Bonn (Germany).
