Jonathan Agensky
Jonathan C Agensky is currently the Director of Ohio University’s War and Peace Studies program, based at Ohio’s Center for International Studies, and is an Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science. His research focuses on religion and international affairs, global humanitarianism and peacebuilding, and postcolonial governance.
Dr Agensky holds a PhD (Politics and International Studies) and MPhil (International Relations) from the University of Cambridge. He held two postdoctoral fellowships at the London School of Economics and Political Science at both the Department of International Relations and Department of International Development Studies. He was a predoctoral International Fox Fellow at Yale University and has held visiting research positions at the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace and World Affairs (Georgetown University) and American University.
Dr Agensky has served on the executive Committee of the Religion and International Relations section of the International Studies Association (ISA) and the executive councils of both the Religion and Politics Division and International History and Politics Division of the American Political Science Association (APSA). He has conducted fieldwork in the US, UK, Kenya, and South Sudan.
