Luicy Pedroza

Ms. Pedroza s proposal will analyze the effort to build a democratic political culture in Mexico. Her research was brought on by her observation that many in Mexico are pessimistic about the possibility of democracy taking root. The central questions she hopes to answer are if it is possible for the government to shorten the gap between the values and attitudes of Mexican society ? Are there attitudes and habits that must be present in society in order for democracy to be stable ? What could be the strategy for strengthening institutions that promote the confidence of citizens in democracy as a process?
