Mohnish Kedia

Mohnish is pursuing his PhD at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP), National University of Singapore. He is theoretically interested in policy design, comparative public policy, and governance, with domain interests in social, environmental, and urban policy. More broadly, his interest lies in the development policies of low and middle-income countries, and he enjoys writing about countries where he has lived.

His thesis explores the role of capacity of state and non-state actors in collaborative governance. His broader research agenda is to enhance policymakers’ understanding of governance modes that they can adopt to solve complex policy problems. Before coming to Singapore, he lived in Beijing as a Yenching Academy Fellow at Peking University, where he learned Chinese and enhanced his understanding of China’s development process. Mohnish holds an advanced diploma in economics, with distinction, from University of Cambridge, and a B.A. Honours in Economics from University of Delhi.
