Tristan Sechrest

Tristan Sechrest graduated from Yale College in May 2015 with a B.A. in History. Originally from Redmond, Washington, he studied modern Europe while at Yale, focusing on the intersection of politics and nationalism in Central Europe and its international ramifications. While the 2015-2016 Fox Fellow at the Freie Universität Berlin, he worked on a project focused on the German far-right's opposition to the Young Plan for resolving German reparations. He subsequently completed a year-long M.A. in European History, Politics, and Society at Columbia University in New York with a thesis on Alfred Hugenberg, a magnate at the intersection of big business, mass media and far-right politics. Tristan continues to live and work in Berlin. He still likes cycling, cinema, and cheese.
