"Memorialization Unmoored" Symposium Keynote

The GSP/Reflections in the Aftermath of War and Genocide symposium on “Memorialization Unmoored: The Virtualization of Material Mediums of Social Memory” will begin with an examination of challenges faced by two major memorialization efforts undertaken in the wake of the September 11 terrorist attacks. 

Mary Fetchet (Voices of September 11th, Founding Director) and Alexandra Drakakis (Associate Curator, 9/11 Memorial Museum) will deliver a joint lecture entitled

“Memorialization with Meaning: commemorating lives lost, preserving difficult history, and creating a narrative for survivors of September 11^th”
