Aristotelianism in Late Safavid Iran (1640 –1722) 

Reza Pourjavady, Ph.D. from Free University of Berlin (2008), is an Adjunct Professor at Goethe University Frankfurt. His research centers on the intellectual history of Iran and neighboring regions from the 12th century onwards. Notable works include Philosophy in Early Safavid Iran: Najm al-Dīn Maḥmūd al-Nayrīzī and His Writings (Brill 2011) and A Jewish Philosopher of Baghdad: ʿIzz al-Dawla Ibn Kammūna (d. 683/1284) and His Writings (Brill 2006, co-authored with Sabine Schmidtke), along with editing Philosophy in Qajar Iran (Brill 2018).
