Professor Chander Shekhar is a Professor of Persian Studies at the University of Delhi, where he also earned his PhD in Persian Studies. He has served as the Director of the Lal Bahadur Shastri Centre for Indian Culture in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, for several years. Professor Shekhar is the author of numerous books and articles on Indo-Persian literature and codicology, including Persian Manuscripts: Studies in Culture and Literature, published by the University of Delhi.
